Discover Rembrandt's Art

Rembrandt Prints Online houses almost five hundred images from the Morgan Library and Museum collection of Rembrandt etchings. The collection includes. Browse the prints as a whole or by group: self-portraits, portraits, Biblical subjects, and landscapes. Each image can be downloaded, printed, viewed full screen, zoomed and panned.

Rembrandt's Etchings: A Portrait in Black and White is a series of nine videos (2-13 minutes) on Rembrandt, his society, the art of etching, his self-portraits, portraits of the common man, religious subjects, his greatest plates and a step-by-step demonstration of preparing and etching a copper plate and creating a print. Because the etchings referred to are not shown, the first eight videos will require some teacher preparation. The final video on the etching process requires no additional illustration.

A two part biographical video examines Rembrandt’s life and career as a painter and printmaker.
