NASA Education houses hundreds of resources by subject, grade level, type and keyword. The site is designed to updated regularly, so visit often.

For Educators links to the NASA Education YouTube Channel, alphabetical lists of publications and websites, and Educator Resource Centers for teaching materials and workshops. Grade K-4, 5-8, 9-12 homepages highlight many resources. A More Stories bar at page bottom reveals more features. Some shared items are tuned for the three grade groupings.

Classroom Combos are provided each week. For example, Classroom Combos for Grades K-4  may investigate How Big Is the Solar System? or How Flight Works or The Color of Your Sky and provide guides, lesson plans activities, articles, videos, graphics, posters, computer apps, and more. The Color of Your Sky included Sky Color for Kids, an activity, Why Is the Sky Blue?,  a read-aloud article, and Sky Conditions, ( PDF, 72.3MB, 2pgs) another activity.

Another feature is Current Opportunities. Current Opportunities for K-4 Educators: lists, annotates, and links to opportunities for lectures, webinars, artifacts, workshops, conferences, contests, and more. For example the 2017 OPTIMUS PRIME Spinoff Promotion and Research Challenge asks grade 3-12 students to create a multimedia poster using a tool developed by Glogster. “Winning students will be invited to Goddard to participate in a behind-the-scenes workshop, attend a VIP awards ceremony and meet actor Peter Cullen, the voice of OPTIMUS PRIME.”

For Students varies a great deal by grade, but students will find picture dictionaries, contests, infographics, career corner, and more. The First Robotics Competition  lists contests open to four age groups: K-4, 4-8, 7-12, and 9-12. The More Stories bar at page bottom lets students browse more features.

Some aspects are held in common. K-4 and 6-8 share NASA Knows! NASA Knows! (Grades K-4)  has answers to questions about astronauts, Earth, history, technology and more. NASA Knows: Astronauts answers questions about four famous astronauts, spacesuits, and spacewalks. When NASA Knows! (Grades 5-8) covers the same material as grades K-4, it is in greater detail.
