French and Family is a K-2 lesson in French language and culture that identifies countries where French is spoken, compares French and American families, and teaches French words for family relationships. The lesson is designed to last 2-3 class periods and provides worksheets. Suggestions for activities to extend the lesson are included.

De Colores is a grade 3-5 lesson that teaches the names of 10 colors in Spanish. Students also learn a song about colors, the colors of common objects, and write and speak simple sentences about colors. The lesson includes 3 activities, 4 worksheets, an assessment tool, and lesson extensions.

Sor Juana, the Poet: The Sonnets is a grade 9-12 lesson in which students analyze two of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz’s (1651-1695) sonnets, as well as the historical and cultural context. Resources include 10 worksheets and lesson extensions. A Spanish version of this lesson is available.
