ET and Me  (2-4) Students write and illustrate stories about being an extraterrestrial.

Exoplanets/Exoplanets Worksheet: Comparing the Earth to an Exoplanet (6-8) Students compare Earth to one of the exoplanets found by the Kepler spacecraft. A link to instructional materials and resources is provided.

Seager-Drake: Seagar Equation vs. Drake Equation  (9-12) Students compare the Seagar and Drake Equations through scientific background, as well as mathematical calculations. Drake’s equation is used to estimate the number of active, communicative extraterrestrial civilizations in our galaxy. Seagar’s focuses on planets with gases produced by living organisms.

Life Underground (7-8) In this game, students explore extreme subsurface environments for microbial life. Downloads include a 22 page classroom curriculum and zip files for Win and OSX. Users can choose to pay what they wish or download for free. The default charge is $2.00. The curriculum includes 4 modules and a lab exercise and is aligned with the Common Core ELA standards.
