CLEAN (Climate Literacy & Awareness Network  is a collection of more than 700 climate and energy resources for grades 3-12. Browse by NGSS or search by keyword, grade level, or resource type. CLEAN includes Guidance in Teaching About Climate and Energy  and an Educator Toolbox.

The Incredible Carbon Journey (3-5) Students explore how human activity has changed the way carbon is distributed in the atmosphere, lithosphere, biosphere and hydrosphere. The nine-page Activity PDF  (, 2 MB) includes game cubes and record sheet.

Reading Antarctica's Rock Cores  (3-5) Students learn what tools and methods paleoclimatologists use to reconstruct past climates, then construct their own sediment cores to understand how scientists interpret sediment cores. Climate Change and Human Health  (9-12) Students investigate how climate change affects human health and consider the benefits of climate mitigation and adaptation. Climate Change  provides links to research efforts, further reading, additional resources, and lesson plans.
